Kim's Class Offerings

On-Camera Acting Class

Stop acting. Start telling the truth.

On-camera acting isn’t about “performing.” It’s about revealing who you are—and having the courage to let the camera catch it.

This class is for actors who want to cut the habits, drop the polish, and actually live in the work.

We’ll dig into the technical side—your relationship to the camera, framing, eyelines—so you can stop guessing and start using the lens to your advantage. And we’ll pair that with technique that helps you get out of your head and into something real, specific, and alive.

Each week, you’ll work on sides from film and TV. Think of it as a gym: a place to take risks, build strength, and develop consistency and confidence in front of the camera.

I’ve worked alongside actors like Jared Leto and Kathryn Hahn, and appeared on HBO, Netflix, Apple TV+, NBC, USA, and MTV. I’ve been studying on-camera technique since graduating from NYU, and I've been coaching actors for the past five years - most recently at Matt Newton Studio.

If you’re ready to do deeper, more honest work, sign up for class above!

Testimonials:

"Frankly, one of my favorite parts about the way Kim teaches, is the ability to watch how his notes change the work of my peers. On more than one occasion, he has completely enlightened the actor working on camera, and the rest of us viewing the tapes, with a comment or note that simply never would have occurred to us. Sometimes he does this as a “shot in the dark” exercise, and other times it is a direct adjustment to the scene itself. Watching those many moments, I have seen so many peers (and myself) finally discover the lock to the skeleton keys we had always carried with us. It is always a joy to witness, and even better to run with and further apply to my own work."
